EHX Echo 600 slider delay recreation with 3x MN3005 BBDs providing 600ms analog delay at 18V.
The PastFX Echo 600 is a compact recreation of the Electro-Harmonix Echo 600 slider-style analog delay, a unique variation of the classic Deluxe Memory Man. Using three Xvive MN3005 BBD chips (not low-voltage types), it delivers 600ms of analog delay with higher headroom than typical BBD delays.
The pedal features slider controls instead of traditional knobs, including Blend (wet/dry mix) and controls for the built-in chorus/vibrato modulation section. A Short/Long delay time switch selects between two delay ranges. The design philosophy prioritizes getting the best tonal quality from each chip rather than maximizing delay time, resulting in a richer, more textured sound than the original.
The Echo 600 delivers a cleaner, brighter delay than the Deluxe Memory Man while retaining analog warmth with lush modulation. True bypass, 120 x 94 x 50mm (1590BB) enclosure requiring 18VDC center-negative. No battery option; requires high-quality regulated power supply. Handmade in Brisbane, Australia.
