EHX Poly Chorus/Echoflanger recreation with dual BBDs delivering five effects in a compact 1590B at 18V.

The PastFX Echoflanger is the smallest recreation of the original 1970s EHX Echoflanger circuit (also sold as the Poly Flange and Poly Chorus). This all-analog multi-effect uses two vintage Panasonic BBDs running at 18V without any surge pump or voltage inverter ICs.

The pedal delivers up to five effects: slapback delay/double tracking, chorus, vibrato, flanger, and filter matrix (static flanging). Controls include Blend (replacing the original's switch for finer control), Feedback (uniquely accessible even in chorus mode), Width, Rate, and an Input Filter switch. Internal controls include a Threshold trimpot (rudimentary gating, default off) and a Volume trimpot. The LED flashes for chorus/flanger modes and stays static for slapback/matrix.

Due to the complexity of the original circuit, the pedal may exhibit chirps and LFO ticks characteristic of the vintage design. True bypass, 1590B enclosure drawing 80mA at 18VDC center-negative. Requires high-quality audio-grade power supply (Cioks DC7 recommended). Handmade in Brisbane, Australia.
