Mischief

The PastFX Mischief LM308 Distortion is a feature-expanded recreation of the ProCo RAT using a genuine LM308 op-amp chip (with a limited Metal Can version also available). It goes far beyond the original three-knob design.

Three main knobs mirror the classic RAT: Gain controls distortion amount, Volume sets output level, and Filter adjusts high-frequency roll-off (clockwise). A 3-way Bass toggle switch adds low-frequency boost: Stock center position, Bass, or Turbo Bass (engaging extra bass-boosting circuitry). A 4-way Pulse rotary switch selects clipping modes with color-coded LED indication: white (symmetrical), blue (asymmetrical), red (LED clipping), and pink (germanium diode mix). A Sizzle pushbutton adds extra bite and brightness, while a second pushbutton disengages the Pulse switch entirely (green LED).
