Punkifriar PX76
DOD FX76 Punkifier recreation with blendable overdrive/fuzz circuits and Mead contour control.
The PastFX Punkifriar PX76 is a recreation and expansion of the discontinued DOD FX76 Punkifier, an overdrive/distortion/fuzz pedal. The unique Punk control allows blending or isolating the overdrive and fuzz circuits.
Five controls provide versatile gain shaping: Menace (Level) controls output volume from quiet to a huge decibel boost. Punk (Overdrive/Fuzz Mix) blends the two circuits—fully counterclockwise for pure overdrive, fully clockwise for fuzz, and 12 o'clock for a blend of both. Spikes (Tone/Highs) boosts or cuts high frequencies. Mead (Contour) is a new PastFX addition providing extra top-end sizzle that interacts with the Spikes control—fully clockwise matches stock FX76 behavior. Slam (OD Gain) controls the overdrive section's gain and sustain.
True bypass, dimmable LED. 112 x 60 x 31mm enclosure drawing 10mA. Recommended starting settings: Spikes, Slam, and Menace at noon, Mead fully clockwise (stock), Punk fully counterclockwise (overdrive). Handmade in Brisbane, Australia.
