Philosopher's Tone 2

The Philosopher's Tone 2 updates the original design with circuit refinements and a dedicated grit control. The optical compression engine continues to provide the sustain the line is known for. The grit control adds harmonic content independently of compression amount.

Improved noise performance keeps background quiet even at high sustain settings. The sustain range extends further for truly infinite notes when desired. Blend mixing retains note attack while adding compression.

Pigtronix built the Philosopher's Tone 2 for players who loved the original but wanted more control. The grit addition separates saturation from compression for greater tonal flexibility.
