Cognitive Dissonance MkIV
Ram's Head Big Muff variant with added mids control. MkIV version with refined circuit.
The Cognitive Dissonance MkIV is a 4-silicon-transistor Big Muff variant representing the most refined iteration of Skreddy's Big Muff lineage. Targets David Gilmour's Division Bell and On An Island tones — powerful high gain that remains controlled and musical rather than mushy.
Sustain, Volume, and Tone controls plus a Scoop/Flat switch — Scoop provides a light mid scoop, Flat fills in vocal-frequency midrange naturally. Maximum refinement philosophy: silky, articulate, perfectly balanced fuzz with excellent string separation in chords. Retains attack and playing nuances at all gain levels while staying tight and articulate despite the high gain.
The MkIV is the culmination of multiple iterations of circuit refinement. Handmade in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. True bypass.
