Echo

The Skreddy Echo is an ultra-high sample-rate Delta-Sigma digital delay with analog filtering and limiting, designed as a drop-in replacement for a tube tape echo. PT2399 delay chips with photocells for modulation create the distinctive tape echo drag and warble.

Five main controls: Time (~50ms to 550ms), Repeats, Mix (goes to 100% wet for stereo rig use), Warble Rate, and Warble Intensity. Two externally accessible trim pots adjust loop level and modulation intensity. Built-in effects loop for processing the delay line with other effects. Internal limiter prevents runaway self-oscillation.

Repeats degrade gradually into musical harmonic saturation. Billy Corgan has praised its "beautiful shimmering sound." Accepts 9V to 18V (9V = soft vintage tone, 18V = clearer, harder). Hand-wired with Switchcraft jacks. 5" x 4" x 3". Handmade in Milwaukee.
