Ernie
Ernie Ball-inspired overdrive. Warm, amp-like breakup with touch sensitivity.
The Ernie is a 4-silicon-transistor distortion/fuzz/sustain circuit modeled on the 1973 "Lamb's Head" edition Big Muff — a distinct variant from the more common Ram's Head era. Uses a mix of finest available new components and sweet-sounding NOS (new-old-stock) parts.
Volume, Tone, and Sustain controls. Thick and huge-sounding with fat chords/riffs and near-infinite sustain on single notes. Wide usable tonal range with rich midrange bloom and good clarity compared to other massive fuzz circuits. Can do liquidy-smooth sustaining funky fuzz or menacing vintage metal riffing.
Premium pricing reflects the NOS components used. Small enclosure. Handmade in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. True bypass with LED indicator. DC adapter jack and battery snap.
