General Pig
High-gain Muff-family fuzz with aggressive character. Thick, saturated wall-of-sound from Pennsylvania.
The General Pig is based on the circa 1976 Ram's Head Big Muff Pi circuit, designed to produce David Gilmour-like fuzz tones in a compact, affordable package. Slightly lower gain than the P19 model, which permits less filtering and a clearer, more open tone.
Volume, Tone, and Sustain controls plus a subtle but useful mid switch for two distinct midrange voicings. Articulate, balanced fuzz with plenty of sustain and excellent string articulation that responds to playing dynamics. The lower gain makes it work particularly well with humbucker-equipped guitars without needing to roll back the volume.
Part of Skreddy's "Pig" family of Big Muff variants. Available with hand-painted custom enclosures. Handmade in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. True bypass. 9V battery or DC adapter.
