LZ-129
High-gain lead fuzz inspired by legendary rock tones with extended sustain and compressed attack for soaring leads.
The LZ-129 is based on the circa 1969 Univox Uni-Drive — the volume pedal Jimmy Page used on the first two Led Zeppelin albums, heard on "Heartbreaker," "Communication Breakdown," and "Black Dog." Named after the Hindenburg's sister airship, Skreddy added a proprietary amp-like clipping section and gentle high-cut output filter.
A 6-way rotary switch sets the drive level (acting as incoming signal volume control like the original's treadle), while the Headroom knob controls how much signal hits the clipping section. A mini toggle bypasses the clipping entirely for pure dirty boost. Clear tone on high strings, fuzzier on low strings — that characteristic early Zeppelin asymmetry.
9V DC, standard negative-tip barrel connector, no special power requirements. Handmade in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
