Mayo
Smooth, creamy fuzz with vintage character. Rolled-off highs, no fizz, just fat sustaining fuzz tone.
The Mayo targets the Smashing Pumpkins' "Siamese Dream" sound — specifically the song "Mayonaise." Based on the circa 1971 triangle-knob era Big Muff Pi, it uses a 4-transistor topology with a blend of NOS and new components. The MkIII reissue features upgraded higher-gain, lower-noise transistors and capacitors.
Volume, Sustain, and Tone controls plus a mid-boost toggle switch. The Tone sweep is smooth and usable throughout its entire range, never getting harsh. Creamy yet tight and amp-like, it makes single-coils sound like humbuckers without obliterating the guitar's voice, and makes a clean amp sound like a cranked dirty amp even at low volume.
Handmade in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. True bypass with LED. 9V battery or standard DC adapter.
