Rover

The Rover is based on the Tone Bender MkII circuit, redesigned with 3 low-gain, low-noise 2N5172 silicon transistors for consistency and temperature stability. Multi-pole low-pass output filtering emulates the character of germanium fuzz, and a redesigned input stage with modern biasing provides higher input impedance — meaning it works well with buffers and wah pedals unlike most vintage fuzz designs.

Attack (fuzz/distortion level), Level (output volume), and Wool (density/thickness — tight articulate distortion through saggy brick-wall-compressed fuzz). Excellent guitar volume cleanup and touch sensitivity with far more output volume than classic fuzzes. Also available as the Animals Pedal Rover Fuzz, designed by Marc Ahlfs.
