The Screaming Lizard is a heavily modified Fuzz Face — classic 2-transistor topology with silicon transistors selected to produce germanium-type fuzz tones while maintaining temperature stability. Six controls address every shortcoming of the original 1960s design.
Volume, Fuzz, Bias (buzzy/lo-fi to clear/present), Voice (bright/articulate to smooth/syrupy), a Scream knob with momentary footswitch for controllable feedback oscillation, and an HB/SC toggle switch that adds input resistance to prevent humbucker swamping. Much more output volume than classic fuzzes, with significant noise reduction. The Scream footswitch takes tones from extra gain to crazy oscillation.
