The Soldano SLO Plus expands upon single-channel SLO pedal by housing both legendary channels of iconic SLO-100 amplifier in single enclosure, offering instant footswitchable access to complete SLO tonal spectrum from responsive cleans through complex barking crunch to rich, aggressive high-gain distortion. Normal channel (Crunch mode) delivers SLO-100's inspiring rhythm tones—complex, harmonically rich overdrive that maintains clarity and articulation even under gain. Overdrive channel provides genuine Soldano high-gain voice that defined modern metal and hard rock guitar tones, offering thick, saturated distortion with exceptional sustain while retaining note definition even in dense, down-tuned riffing.
Each channel features independent Master and Preamp (Gain) controls, allowing precise gain staging optimization per channel. Both channels share comprehensive tone shaping tools that made SLO-100 legendary: three-band EQ, Presence control for high-frequency edge, and crucial Deep switch for optimizing low-end response. Two footswitches provide independent engagement/bypass and channel switching, enabling seamless transitions between clean, crunch, and high-gain tones during performance. SLO Plus can function as complete preamp when paired with power amplifiers or impulse response loaders, making it viable for direct recording or ampless performance scenarios.
