SolidGoldFX's If 6 Was 9 recreates the Dallas-Arbiter Fuzz Face using carefully selected BC183 silicon transistors. The circuit strikes a balance between germanium's warm compression and silicon's vibrant sustain.
Volume, Fuzz, and Bias controls provide classic Fuzz Face operation with extended range. The Bias knob varies voltage to the second transistor for tones ranging from compressed and nasty to big and bold. A three-position Body toggle selects between Fat, Treble Boost, and Classic voicings.
The Saturate control trims input signal for better cleanup and impedance matching with wah pedals. Soft-touch true bypass switching. Hand-made in Montreal with premium components throughout.
