Rosie
Tone Bender MKII reborn with JFET/silicon transistors. High-impedance input plays nice with buffers.
The Rosie modernizes the Tone Bender MKII circuit by replacing finicky germanium transistors with a JFET and low-gain silicon combination. The result maintains vintage fuzz character with reliable, consistent performance.
Fuzz, Bias, and Volume controls provide classic operation. The Bias knob adjusts final transistor voltage for singing leads or splatty gated tones. A dual-action tone toggle cuts excess bass (helpful with humbuckers) while the external bias shapes midrange character.
The high-impedance JFET input eliminates the pickup loading issues that plague vintage Tone Benders. Place it anywhere in your chain without tone loss. Works beautifully with both single coils and humbuckers. True bypass, hand-built in Montreal.
