The Apollo VIIb is a significantly revised version of the Apollo VII, with over 60% of components changed from the original. The three-position clipping toggle provides VOY (semi-symmetrical LED clipping from the Voyager), ALT (asymmetrical silicon for smoother breakup), and Boost (no diodes, maximum headroom).

Gain and Level controls range from powerful voiced boost to layered organic overdrive. The Tone control shapes sparkle and warmth. VOY mode offers a blend of odd and even-order harmonics with stunning clarity. ALT increases even-order harmonics for smoother, more articulate breakup.

100% analog with true-bypass mechanical switching. Hand-soldered in Portland, Oregon with cast aluminum enclosure and engraved vinyl faceplate. Available in premium PDX Custom and accessible Cadet series versions.
