Explorer
6-stage optical phaser with 5 waveshapes plus manual mode. Hidden arpeggiated and stepped modes.
The Explorer is a 6-stage optical analog phaser with hyper-detailed approach to usability and tone. Named after the first US satellite in 1958, it was also Spaceman's first phaser. The current version packs all deluxe features into a smaller enclosure.
Five waveshapes include Sine, Ramp Down, Ramp Up, Triangle, and Square. Manual mode disconnects the LFO and freezes sweep position. Hidden waveshapes (accessed by powering on with footswitch held) include three arpeggiated shapes, stepped, MW, and inverted manual.
Rate, Resonance, Range, Volume, and Mix controls shape everything from subtle shimmer to extreme jet-plane sweeps. Supports 9-24V for higher headroom. True-bypass relay switching. Hand-wired in Portland, Oregon. Current draw 51mA engaged.
