The Redstone is a multipurpose reimagining of Spaceman's Mercury platform—a flexible preamp with 3-band tone stack powered by a vintage NOS germanium transistor. Functions as boost, line-driver, or overdrive with up to 40dB of gain.

Volume, Gain, Low, Mid, and High controls emulate a tube amp input stage. The highly interactive tone controls offer bright bite, midrange clang, and thumping bass. Higher headroom at 12V. Well suited to bass and baritone in addition to guitar.

Discrete opamp with hand-selected vintage germanium transistor. All-analog signal path. True-bypass relay switching with soft-touch footswitch. Current draw 32mA engaged. Hand-wired in Portland, Oregon.
