The Secret Chord is a MOSFET boost pedal covering chimey clean boost to tube-like overdrive with intuitive controls. NOS low-noise tin-can MOSFETs with 1N914 silicon diodes and internal 18V voltage provide increased headroom and hi-fi character.
The 3-way Focus toggle (Fat 1, Flat, Fat 2) shapes input frequencies. Girth control cap network adjusts low frequency content. The A/Ω toggle moves Girth pre or post gain. Omega mode fattens single coils while Alpha opens up humbuckers.
Functions beautifully as an always-on preamp due to hi-fi components and low noise floor, with enough kick to push amps or overdrive pedals into high gain and infinite sustain. Laser-cut, hand-polished graphics. Hand-made in USA by former DOD/DigiTech designer Tom Cram.
