Liquid Sunshine

JFET Class A overdrive with circuit architecture more similar to amp simulators than typical boost/overdrive pedals. The JFET topology provides tube-like dynamics and touch response.

Drive (pushes gain across full frequency range), Emphasis (shapes character and adds gain without making the overdrive too bright—the mkIII's signature control), and Volume. Two internal DIP switches for bass boost and treble boost allow matching to different amp voicings.

Designed to preserve amp character rather than override it. The emphasis control evolved from the earlier two-drive-knob design. Excels both pushing other drive pedals and being pushed by dirt boxes in a chain. Handmade in Oregon. JFET Class A design.
