Harmonic Antagonizer
Fuzz with pitch-tracking synth tones. Creates harmonies and octaves from your playing.
Three-part circuit combining a triggered oscillator, square wave fuzz, and VCA designed so the fuzz and oscillator constantly fight each other. The VCA means notes decay into silence rather than fading to clean tone like most fuzzes.
Blend (fuzz vs oscillator mix—left for square wave fuzz, right for oscillator), Freq (manual oscillator frequency), Sense (envelope control—harder playing drives oscillator higher), and Volume. The oscillator activates on input signal while the square wave fuzz tries to overpower and bend it.
Built as the antithesis of vintage-inspired fuzz. Creates nasal, glitchy, broken-computer textures and faux bass synth tones. The VCA-based output stage is a synth-inspired design giving distinct decay character. Accepts 9-18V DC—higher voltage extends oscillator range. 9V recommended.
