The Swindler Effects Gulf V2 is a premium stereo chorus/vibrato pedal that combines classic analog bucket brigade circuitry for warm, organic modulation with modern digital control features. The pedal's core sound is generated by a fully analog BBD (Bucket Brigade Device) chip, ensuring the lush, rich character that digital choruses often struggle to replicate, while digital control provides precision, preset storage, and MIDI integration.
The three main controls are Speed, Depth, and Blend. The innovative Blend knob allows seamless transitions from completely dry signal through traditional chorus tones to pure vibrato, offering a full spectrum of modulation possibilities in a single pedal. The pedal provides three selectable waveforms (Sine, Triangle, and Square wave), five tap-tempo divisions, and an adjustable delay parameter that creates warble effects.
The V2 revision brought significant improvements including SMD circuit construction for enhanced reliability and consistency, reduced bypass pop potential, improved sound clarity and openness with expanded wet signal headroom, and an extended internal tone control range. Digital features include customer-updatable firmware via internal micro-USB jack, one onboard savable preset, speed ramping functionality with multiple modes, and full MIDI control through the TRS expression jack. Operates at 9V center negative with 85mA current draw.
