Boost

Teisco was resurrected by Singapore's BandLab Technologies in 2018, decades after the original Japanese manufacturer disappeared. The brand targets affordable, compact pedals with thoughtful features, and the Boost exemplifies this approach with its FET circuit and voltage-switching capability.

A 9/24-volt switch engages internal voltage doubling for increased headroom and clarity, similar to running an 18V charge pump but controlled via a simple toggle. The three-way EQ switch offers normal, treble-focused, or flat response modes without requiring external tone controls. Level and Gain knobs provide straightforward boost control from subtle enhancement to aggressive pushing.

True bypass switching, zinc shell construction with textured baseplate for Velcro grip, removable rubber feet for access to internal assembly. Accepts 9V battery or standard center-negative power supply. The Boost delivers clean headroom and tonal flexibility at an entry-level price point.
