Lovetone Big Cheese fuzz reimagined with Dan Coggins—three voicings and tone-bypass footswitch
Based on the Lovetone Big Cheese fuzz circuit designed by Dan Coggins in the early 1990s. Falls somewhere between a Big Muff and a Fuzz Face with expanded range and extensive voicing options not found on the original.
Volume, Fuzz, Tone, and Balance controls. Three-way toggle switch selects between gated fuzz, flat mids, and enhanced mids. Two footswitches: on/off and tone stack bypass—the Balance control is linked to the bypass, giving two switchable fuzz sounds for rhythm and lead.
Reimagining of the Lovetone Big Cheese fuzz in collaboration with Dan Coggins. The tone stack bypass footswitch lets you switch between a core fuzz sound and a boosted/different fuzz for solos. 1% metal film resistors, WIMA and Panasonic capacitors, gold-plated PCB. 9V DC.
