The Imperial Preamp runs three 12AX7 tubes at high voltage, replicating the exact preamp section and phase inverter circuitry of the Imperial MKII amplifier. Powered by Synergy technology, each channel mirrors different vintage amp eras: the Rhythm channel evokes 60s blackface cleans with touch-sensitive breakup, while the Lead channel channels 50s tweed warmth with a Mid-Bite control for British-flavored rock crunch.
The pedal includes foot-switchable digital reverb and tremolo (assignable per channel), 15 OwnHammer-made impulse responses with dual 3-way toggle switches for instant favorites selection, and an additional 12 IRs accessible via the included Tone King Editor software. Dual XLR outputs handle direct recording or FOH duties, while the stereo effects loop, headphone jack, MIDI in, and USB-C connectivity offer comprehensive I/O.
