Royalist Preamp
Tri-tube British preamp spanning JTM45, Plexi, and Super Lead eras—dual channels, MIDI, stereo XLR.
The Royalist Preamp runs three 12AX7 tubes at high voltage, capturing the full arc of British amp history in a pedalboard format. Based on the Royalist MKIII amplifier, each channel's three-position Era switch moves from 1964 JTM45 sweetness through 1967 Plexi crunch to 1970 Super Lead roar.
Two identical channels with independent Era voicing let you set up clean-to-crunch or crunch-to-lead combinations, foot-switchable on the fly. Built-in convolution reverb, an assignable stereo series effects loop, and three switchable OwnHammer impulse responses round out the tone shaping. The custom phase-inverter circuit powered by one of the three tubes adds real power-amp sag and feel.
Dual balanced XLR outputs with ground lift handle FOH and recording, while the headphone jack, USB-C (for Tone King Editor), and 5-pin MIDI with 128 presets make it equally at home on stage or in the studio.
