MkII Steel String in a 33% smaller enclosure with Jazz/Rock toggle switch. Based on Dumble SSS 6L6 amplifier serial #001.

The Steel String Clean Drive MkII packs the original Dumble SSS circuit into a smaller enclosure with a useful new voicing switch.

Gain, Filter, and Level knobs carry over from the MKI. The new Jazz/Rock toggle switch shifts the EQ curve: Jazz position thickens cleans with more low-end body, Rock position tightens the overdrive response. Gain below 50% delivers clean boost territory, above 50% transitions into light overdrive. Filter sweeps midrange between 800Hz and 1.2kHz.

Voiced alongside a Dumble Steel String Singer 6L6 amplifier. True bypass (mechanical), 100% analog. 9-18V DC center-negative, with 18V providing extra clean headroom. Under 10mA draw.
