The Ultraphonix Overdrive is Vertex's take on the Dumble Overdrive Special, designed alongside actual vintage Dumble ODS amplifiers.
Three controls: Gain, Filter (upper-mid emphasis sweepable from 800Hz to 1.6kHz), and Volume. The gain structure transitions to overdrive around the 1:00 position, keeping everything below that as transparent boost. Dynamic and touch-sensitive, it cleans up with lighter picking and pushes into singing sustain when you dig in.
True bypass (mechanical), 100% analog. 9V DC center-negative. Under 10mA current draw. Standard Vertex MKI enclosure at 4.6 x 3.2 x 1.8 inches.
