The Flat 4 Boost features a 12AX7 vacuum tube operating at 200V through Vox's Hi-Volt technology—genuine tube tone even from batteries. The pedal serves as mid-boost, treble-boost, overdrive, or full-range boost.
Volume, Low, High, and Gain controls with dedicated Mid-Boost switch. At 12 o'clock, Low and High provide nearly flat response. Raising Gain gradually applies a low-cut for vintage-style overdrive. The Mid-Boost switch highlights lead playing.
All-analog discrete circuitry with passive Baxandall EQ and true bypass switching. The slow-start heater circuit extends tube life. Rugged die-cast body with standby switch. Powers from 6 AA batteries or DC 9V.
