The Ages is Walrus Audio's five-state overdrive, offering a remarkably versatile range of gain textures through five distinct clipping modes. Each mode provides a different character, from transparent boost through warm overdrive to saturated distortion, all accessible via a rotary switch.

The dry blend control sets the Ages apart, allowing players to mix their clean signal with the driven tone for enhanced note definition and dynamics. This parallel mixing technique, borrowed from bass and studio compression, keeps the fundamental attack intact even at high gain settings.

Internal charge pump runs the circuit at 18V for increased headroom and dynamics. Standard controls for level, gain, and tone are joined by the mode selector and blend knob, making this an overdrive that can genuinely cover ground from subtle enhancement to full-on distortion.
