The Eras is Walrus Audio's five-state distortion, offering a comprehensive range of dirt textures through five distinct clipping modes. Each mode provides a different character, from transparent overdrive through crunchy distortion to full saturation, all accessible via a rotary switch.

The dry blend control sets the Eras apart, allowing players to mix their clean signal with the distorted tone for enhanced note definition and dynamics. This parallel mixing technique keeps the fundamental attack intact even at high gain settings, preventing the mush that can plague distortion pedals.

Level, gain, and tone controls are joined by the mode selector and blend knob. Each clipping mode uses different diode configurations to achieve its character. From edge-of-breakup tones to crushing distortion, the Eras covers the full spectrum of driven guitar sounds.
