The M1 is Walrus Audio's comprehensive modulation machine, powered by the SHARC processor. Six algorithms—Chorus, Phaser, Tremolo, Vibrato, Rotary, and Filter—each offer three distinct types, providing 18 modulation voices in total.

A global Lo-Fi control adds saturation, age, and warble to any program for vintage character. LFO waveshapes (sine, triangle, square) and tap tempo with division control keep modulation musical. Press and hold the tap switch to engage the Skip function, which repeats the last few milliseconds of audio like a stuck record.

Nine onboard presets (128 via MIDI), stereo I/O, and comprehensive MIDI implementation make the M1 professional-grade. Each algorithm responds uniquely to the tweak controls, ensuring deep sound design possibilities. USB provides firmware updates.
