Plainsman

The Plainsman is Walrus Audio's clean boost designed to increase volume without adding overdrive or coloring your tone. The dual-stage JFET circuit provides transparent gain for pushing amps into natural breakup.

A toggle switch selects between +8dB and +15dB maximum boost, covering subtle enhancement through significant level increase. The tone control shapes high frequencies when engaged, or can be bypassed completely via its own toggle for pure, uncolored boost.

Volume and tone knobs provide simple, intuitive control. The Plainsman excels at giving tube amps that extra push into singing overdrive, boosting signal for long cable runs, or simply making leads cut through the mix. It's also useful as a buffer at the front of a pedalboard.
