Polychrome

The Polychrome is Walrus Audio's all-analog flanger, continuing the design philosophy established by the Julia chorus and Lillian phaser. The D-F-V (Dry-Flange-Vibrato) knob blends from full dry through traditional flanging to 100% wet pitch vibrato.

Three LFO waveshapes—sine, triangle, and random—modulate the delay line. The random waveshape adds unpredictable, organic movement. Two voice modes via toggle switch provide different flanger characters: traditional full-frequency flanging in one position, and a more notched, complex sound with reduced low-end in the other.

Rate, depth, sweep, and feedback controls offer comprehensive flanger shaping. The sweep control shifts the frequency range being modulated, from tight and chewy to deep and extreme. Like its siblings, the soft-relay footswitch supports momentary activation for performance flexibility. LFO rate spans 0.1Hz to 8Hz.
