The Red is Walrus Audio's high-gain distortion, inspired by the brutal tones of early '90s heavy metal and shoegaze. It delivers aggressive, pounding distortion that appeals to everyone from skate punks to Swedish death metal players.

A three-band EQ (bass at 100Hz, mid at 300Hz, treble at 1250Hz) provides precise tone shaping beyond typical distortion pedals. The texture switch selects between two diode configurations: maximum compression/clipping for smooth leads, or minimum compression for more open, overdriven character.

Volume and gain controls complete the feature set. Even at lower gain settings, the Red stays heavy. Crank it for crushing walls of distortion with enough EQ flexibility to avoid mud. The three-band EQ lets you cut through mixes or scoop mids for classic metal tones.
