Winnipeg Electrical Company builds handmade guitar pedals in Winnipeg, Canada, with every unit individually screen-printed by builder Geoff. The Blues DLX expands on the Homework Series Blues design, taking core DNA from the Boss BD-2 Blues Driver but adding significant feature improvements for live performance flexibility.
The improved 3-band EQ provides wider range control over bass and treble frequencies compared to the original BD-2, while the mid control allows precise tuning of the critical midrange. A fuzz mode activates via dedicated footswitch, transforming the pedal from smooth overdrive to aggressive fuzz saturation. Both footswitches offer momentary operation—hold for temporary activation without latching. High headroom input and output buffers prevent signal degradation when integrating with complex pedalboard chains.
Relay-based soft-touch true bypass switching, 9V DC center-negative power at 100mA minimum draw, 550g weight. Available in Cahier (Canadian notebook design), Midnight, and 3D finishes. The Blues DLX targets players seeking BD-2-style overdrive with expanded tonal range and fuzz capability, suitable for blues, rock, and indie where one pedal needs to cover clean boost through saturated fuzz without switching units.
