Eye See Pi
Late 1970s Big Muff Pi recreation. Captures the grittier, less scooped transitional era IC-based circuit.
The original 2014 release of Wren and Cuff's IC/op-amp Big Muff Pi recreation, later evolved into the Eye See '78 branding. Uses operational amplifiers replacing discrete transistors for woolly, aggressive fuzz with op-amp-based clipping.
Volume, Tone, Distortion, plus Tone Bypass switch that removes the passive tone stack for raw, unfiltered output with added mid presence. Through-hole construction throughout.
Recreates the rare late-1970s IC Big Muff variant manufactured for only about two years. The name references both 'IC' (Integrated Circuit) and 'Pi' (from Big Muff Pi). Same Billy Corgan/Siamese Dream association as the later Eye See '78 version. True hard-wire bypass, 5mA draw, 4.8 x 2.6 x 1.6 inches, 9.5 oz.
