White Elk (Small Foot)
White Elk fuzz in Small Foot compact format. Same circuit, smaller enclosure for tight pedalboards.
Recreation of the 1970s Elk Super Fuzz Sustainar, a cheap Japanese Big Muff Triangle copy made by Elk Inc. whose component degradation became sonically desirable. Standard Big Muff topology with modified voicing from the original's carbon-comp resistors and cheap caps.
Volume, Tone, and Distortion controls in standard Muff layout. More mids than most Big Muffs with an uneven, rumbling low-end and unique snarl that sets it apart from standard EHX-derived circuits. True hard-wire bypass, 5mA current draw.
Recreates a rare and obscure Japanese Muff variant rather than a standard EHX design. The Elk units were budget knock-offs whose imperfections became their defining sonic character. Small Foot 125-style enclosure at 4.8 x 2.6 x 1.6 inches, 9.5 oz.
