Your Face 70's
1970s Fuzz Face recreation with silicon transistors. Brighter, more aggressive fuzz.
1970s silicon Fuzz Face variant built around two hand-matched NOS BC108C silicon transistors selected for specific gain characteristics. Super-quiet metal film resistors, smoothing capacitors to tame spiky highs and eliminate squealing, Mullard tropical fish output capacitor with increased value for more low-end.
Fuzz control uses a reverse-log potentiometer that fixes the common Fuzz Face problem of the knob only being useful in the last portion of its rotation, spreading usable range across the full sweep. The You knob replaces the standard volume control with a custom low-cut filter to reduce low-end squash.
Higher output than traditional Fuzz Face designs. The circuit tweaks address classic Fuzz Face complaints: squealing, limited knob range, and boomy low end. Silicon transistors, not germanium—the germanium version is the Your Face 60's. True hard-wire bypass, 5mA draw, 4.8 x 2.6 x 1.6 inches, 9.5 oz.
