EP Booster

The Xotic EP Booster captures the legendary tone-enhancing qualities of the Echoplex EP-3 tape delay's preamp section. This compact FET-based boost delivers up to +20dB of clean gain while adding warmth, presence, and harmonic richness that made the original Echoplex preamp famous. Two internal DIP switches provide tonal flexibility: one adds bass boost for fuller tones, while the other adds a bright lift for increased clarity and definition.

The EP Booster excels as an always-on tone enhancer, subtly thickening your signal and adding that elusive studio-quality sheen. It's equally effective as a solo boost, pushing tube amps into natural breakup while maintaining note definition. The circuit uses high-quality film capacitors and a true bypass switching system. Powered by 9-18V DC, higher voltages increase headroom and dynamics. This pedal has become a pedalboard staple for its ability to make guitars simply sound better.
