The Xotic BB Preamp v1.5 refines the original BB Preamp formula with subtle but significant improvements to the circuit. This version features refined gain staging for smoother transitions between clean and overdriven sounds, improved EQ response for more musical tonal shaping, and enhanced dynamics that respond even more expressively to playing touch.

The core character remains faithful to the Bluesbreaker-inspired original: versatile preamp/overdrive tones ranging from transparent boost through thick saturation. The two-band EQ still offers ±15dB of bass and treble adjustment, but the voicing has been optimized based on player feedback. The v1.5 cleans up beautifully with guitar volume adjustments and maintains clarity even at higher gain settings. Internal trim pots provide additional customization options. True bypass switching and 9-18V DC operation round out the feature set. This evolutionary update represents Xotic's commitment to continuous improvement of their core designs.
