The Xotic SP Compressor delivers the smooth, musical compression of the legendary Ross Compressor in a compact mini enclosure. Using an OTA (Operational Transconductance Amplifier) design similar to the original Ross circuit, the SP Compressor adds sustain, evens out dynamics, and enhances note presence without the squashed, unnatural feel of lesser compressors.
The single external knob controls compression amount from subtle leveling through heavy squeeze, while four internal DIP switches provide additional control: two switches adjust the attack time from fast to slow, and two switches blend in dry signal for parallel compression. This internal flexibility allows optimizing the pedal for different playing styles without cluttering the enclosure with knobs. Premium components ensure quiet operation with minimal noise floor increase. True bypass switching preserves your bypassed tone, and the mini enclosure conserves valuable pedalboard space.
