Atomic Overdrive

XAct Tone Solutions launched in Nashville in 2011 with a focus on professional-grade overdrive, distortion, and fuzz pedals built to deliver precise tone and dynamic feel. The Atomic Overdrive was designed to act and react like a great high-gain tube amplifier being pushed hard.

The circuit uses a discrete, multi-stage FET preamp that can develop a nearly unruly amount of gain. Cascading gain stages produce dense, musical distortion with whomp and sagging feel comparable to cranked tube amps. The midrange control lets you bump and dip the mids with precision, shaping the voice from scooped to aggressive.

Controls include Gain, Tone, and Level. The Atomic spans pushed amp breakup through full British stack territory. True bypass switching, 3.7" x 4.7" x 2" enclosure. Draws less than 15mA from standard 9V DC center-negative power. Made in USA.
