The Super Duper 2-in-1 puts two of Zvex's legendary Super Hard On circuits in one enclosure, cascaded for extreme gain staging. Channel 1 is a conventional SHO with yellow LED, while Channel 2 adds a master volume control for precise output level, lit by red LED.
With both channels maxed, total gain reaches an astonishing 3600x, enough to make feedback uncontrollable at any audible volume. The master volume allows dialing in exactly the right amount of saturation from gentle overdrive to wall-of-sound sustain.
The circuit draws only 3mA total with both channels wide open. Zachary Vex warns that his Les Paul feeds back uncontrollably through a Marshall at volume 1 with both gains maxed. It's simultaneously a transparent boost, natural overdrive, and raging distortion depending on settings.
