The Halo recreates the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi, a fuzz that falls somewhere between distortion and fuzz with incredibly long sustain. The circuit uses four gain stages and a distinctive mid-scooped tone control that created its signature wall-of-fuzz character.

From Santana to Billy Corgan to Jack White, the Big Muff defined thick, sustained lead tones across five decades. The Aion PCB allows builders to construct any variation or clone with component options for different clipping diodes, output stages, and tonestack configurations.
