Titan
DIY PCB for building a Fulltone OCD clone - the 2005 high-headroom overdrive with configurable version tweaks.
Aion FX from Des Moines, IA has helped guitarists build studio-quality effects since 2011. Their approach to evolving circuits includes switches for exploring different production variations.
The Titan recreates the Fulltone OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Drive), first released in 2005 as a modified Voodoo Labs Overdrive with added features and tweaks. The circuit delivers high-headroom overdrive with more saturation than typical Screamer-based designs. The Aion version makes the most noticeable circuit tweaks from V1.1 through V1.7 configurable via DIP switches, defaulting to V1.7 (approximately 75,000 units manufactured).
The OCD became a modern standard for players seeking overdrive with more grit than transparent designs but more dynamics than compressed distortion. Its unique MOSFET-clipping topology sits between classic overdrive and modern distortion. The Aion version lets builders explore OCD evolution across production runs.
