The Basic Audio Alter Destiny is a hybrid Big Muff design with emphasis on midrange and clarity. Unlike typical Muffs that disappear in a band mix, the Alter Destiny cuts through with variable High, Mid, Low controls and a 3-way boost switch.

The circuit retains the Big Muff's massive sustain while adding the articulation needed for live performance. It can dial in classic scooped tones or push the mids forward for mix presence.

Handmade in Philadelphia, the Alter Destiny represents Basic Audio's approach to vintage circuits: respect the original while solving its limitations.
