The Basic Audio Foxey Lady is based on the Guild Foxey Lady—a pre-Big Muff circuit from the late 1960s. This version refines the original with tighter bottom end, faster attack, and a variable mids control.
The Foxey Lady predates the Big Muff but shares some DNA, offering similar sustain with a different character. The added mids control addresses the mix cut-through issues of the original circuit.
Handmade in Philadelphia, this is Basic Audio's take on one of the earliest American-made fuzz variants.
