Benevale is a New York-based boutique builder founded by studio engineers who wanted more articulation and organic tone from their gain pedals. The Colt 45 emerged from real recording session experience, designed to capture that perfect edge-of-breakup tone at any volume.

The circuit delivers one of the most transparent overdrives available—replicating the feel of a pushed tube amp without coloring your core tone. It excels as an always-on foundation, adding harmonic richness and dynamic response that stacks beautifully with other drives and fuzzes.

The two-knob interface (Drive and Output) is deceptively interactive—lower drive settings require higher output, and vice versa. Sweet spots emerge around 1-2 o clock on both knobs through a clean Fender-style amp. Exceptional response to pick dynamics and guitar volume adjustments.
